How long in advance do I have to join?
The most popular question asked by our
clientele. The answer is simple. There is no delay. You join when you
want. However 3 days before the departure is impossible. A single rule in
the subject. We ask you not to take yourselves there in the last minute,
simply because you also have to take very often a flight on the chosen
destination. 2 weeks before the departure is a maximum which we can
tolerate, for questions of organization and of administrative delays with
schools.
When do I have to pay
my stay?
The totality is to be paid before the
departure. If the booking is received 45 days and more before foreseen
date, a deposit of $300CAN per person is required. The final balance 45
days before the departure.
If the booking is received less than 45 days before the departure, the
final payment is due.
ATTENTION: no payment will be required (deposit and/or final payment)
until we officially confirmed your booking.
When shall I know if I
am accepted or not?
Normally it is necessary to count a
period from 24 to 48 hours for the confirmation of your registration.
However if you join one Friday for example, your confirmation will not be
made before Monday even next Tuesday. Finally know that we make business
with many countries, thus very different mentalities. A Mexican is not
English which he even is not Russian. Thus patience. Your registration is
in wait, on our desk. We do not forget you, be without fear.
Why don't you give the name
of the school or the university?
Simply because we have contracts with these
language schools, private institutes and because we have to be strictly held in
it, these schools wishing to work with their agents abroad only.
The persons in charge of
young people in your summer camps are they awarded a diploma that we can trust?
Yes absolutely. These persons, young people
for the greater part (25 - 35 years), all received a special training to be able
to supervise the teenagers.
My child is 14 years
old can he join for a linguistic programme?
Yes but only a stay for teens which we call "SUMMER CAMPS FOR TEENAGERS ". You
will find them on the first screen, at the end of the list.
When shall we receive the travel documents ? Do l receive
them in due time ?
Documents will reach you approximately 2 weeks before the departure. We are in
Canada. If you live abroad we sometimes have not enough delay for sending your
documents by post . We react at this moment there by e-mail or by fax. In every
case, no customer leaves his/her home country without the references of the
accommodation and the language school
Can you assure that the weather will be beautiful if I
leave this summer for Spain?
Very conceited in our part if we could guarantee you the time, the temperature
of the water, the air. We will be a soothsayer and such is not our role. However
the common common sense wants that the weather will be beautiful in Spain in
summer, as it is acceptable that it snows in Canada in Winter !!!!.
I have a special diploma and I usually speak about
several languages. May I apply within your company ?
No. In no case, we engage nobody.
I plan to leave for Europe do I have to pay my plane
ticket ?
Yes naturally. The prices of this site never include the plane ticket.
Is it necessary to buy books (school material) or
are they supplied by the school?
For it, it's necessary to look in the title of the program varying according to
the destination. If you see " inclusive school material ", no fee will be to pay
out on the spot. Otherwise we always clarify the price of the school equipment.
Can you assure that I
shall get a family near the school or do I have to take the public transports?
Here is the most popular question. At the time of your registration and if such
is your wish a demand will be made for the school clarifying that you wish to
live next to the school or in walking distance. However, it is not an absolute
guarantee. The school will make everything to try to satisfy this desire but
once again without guarantee.
Do the families speak only their mother language ?
Families will speak only in their mother language and not in your language. Do
not hope to speak English or German to Antigua in Guatemala !!! This is the
secret of the immersion programme.
Do the families advance some money if I came to miss it ?
No. It is not their role. Up to you to take the necessary measures to have it
enough.
Are summer camps for teens mixed?
Yes, they are all mixed. However regarding the residences accommodation, the
boys are separated from the girls in different floors.
Do we have to pay the spot activities before leaving or on
the spot ?
As a general rule, on the spot. In certain cases (indeed read the program),
certain activities are included with the price of the course. If such is not the
case, activities will always be offered to you on the spot at the school for
small expenses.
Would I be perfectly bilingual at the end of 15 days of
class ?
No, in no way. It would be conceited. The bilingualism requires time,
experience, practice, work. It is necessary to look from time to time. A person
of elementary level would be bilingual at the end of 12 in 20 months of very
intense practice.
Can I get a job after my stay in one of your schools?
No. This is not our mission.
If I have a precise diet to be followed, do I have
to indicate it before leaving?
Yes naturally. Any dietary must be indicated before your departure.
Will the family come to look for me at the airport?
Also very popular question. It is necessary to read the program of the chosen
destination. If we mention " airport transfer in/out ", yes somebody will be
there on the condition of having received from your part in due time the day,
the hour, the airline and the flight number. Otherwise we indicate almost always
in " available Options " the transfer airport for additional expenses.
Are rooms air-conditioned ?
Rarely. Is it the case in your home ?
Why do you not rate in other currencies than the Euro, the
Canadian dollar or the US dollar ?
It would be a work far too exhaustive. In order to know the rate in your
national currency, we always have the currency converter (link) which is always
available later or before the mentioning prices of the courses.
