Summer camp for teenagers

Tuition of 20 lessons per week including supervised activities:

The young people are monitored during the duration of the stay and a team of organizers supervises all their activities.

Tuition program.

  • 1 lesson: 45 minutes.
  • Minimum age: 14
  • Maximum age: 17
  • Welcome party
  • Maximum 12 students per class
  • Courses in the morning, activities in the afternoon.
  • Test and certificate of linguistic training
  • All levels available.
  • Air conditioning classrooms
  • School material
  • College residence (Dean college), air conditioning, double, triple or quad. occupancy bedrooms.
  • Full board, 3 meals per day. ATTENTION. On Sunday, breakfast only included.
  • Saturday or Sunday arrival.
    Departure ONLY on Saturday.
  • Numerous supervised activities by the school staff. (see below on this page).
  • On the spot, internet access, library, TV, DVD, VCR.....and many more.

ATTENTION: a 250$US deposit will be requested at arrival. Refundable at the end if no damage was caused. Thank you.

Starting dates

Every week-end between June 25 and August 6, 2011. The camp will close August 6, 2011.

Available options

  • Pocket money: around  70 $US per week.

  • Transfers in/out from/to Boston airport 120$US.

Please note that it is very significant to ensure your child before the departure. This insurance completes the one already held by the summer camp.

 To this end we strongly advise you to view the general conditions of reservation.

We also would like to specify that your child will be take care of as of the moment of his arrival to the airport or the station and this until the date of expected return. A monitor will undertake to drive your child to the airport or the station for its return and will make sure that his departure proceeds under the best conditions. Additional precision: a qualified medical personnel is always present 24 hours a day.

  • Our prices are available from January 1st to December 31, 2011. These prices never include the Air Fare.

Sunday excursions planned in 2011:

Rhodes Island: June 26, July 26.
Six flags amusement parc: July 3 and 31.
Whale watching: July 10.
OUTLET SHOPPING) July 17.
New York optional (supplement 175$US) July 9 or 23.

New England Explorer Program Option

The Junior Program at Dean College is on a beautiful traditional New England college campus that offers students a suburban setting with easy urban access.

General Information

  • 2-week minimum enrollment
  • Saturday arrival and departure
  • Program includes: English lessons, full-board dormitory accommodations, daily afternoon activities (Monday-Friday) and evening activities (most evenings), full-day Sunday excursions
  • 15:1 student to staff ratio
  • Airport: Logan Airport
  • Compulsory transportation fee: $120 (includes round-trip airport transfer as well as transportation to/from all activities included in the junior program)
     

Course

  • General English: Semi-Intensive English Program, 20 lessons per week (50 minutes per lesson)
  • Internationally mixed classes
  • Classes take place between 9:00am-12:45pm (Monday-Friday)
  • Maximum of 15 students per class
  • Classes are held in college classrooms on campus
     

Accommodation: Woodward Hall

  • Shared room occupancy (double and triples), full-board (half-board on Saturday and breakfast only on Sunday)
  • Rooms are furnished with beds, desks, chairs and closets
  • Students can use the payphone located in the Student Campus Center
  • Bathrooms are shared, there is one bathroom per suite which consists of 4-5 rooms or 8-12 students
  • Linens and bath towels included, student can receive fresh linens weekly
  • Bathrooms and common areas cleaned daily
  • Dorms are air-conditioned
  • Laundry facilities located in the dormitory ($1.25 per wash, $0.25 per dry per 15 minutes)
     

Campus Facilities

  • Students have use of a lounge with a TV, vending machines, game room, gym, fitness center, basketball court and athletic fields
  • Students have free access to Dean College computer labs with Internet access
  • Students are welcome to use the college library and visit the bookstore
     

Activities and Excursions

Students participate in afternoon activities Monday-Friday. Afternoon activities are compulsory and are included in the junior program package. Evening and Saturday activities are also offered to all students. Evening and Saturday activities are optional and students will be charged for the fees associated with the activity they choose. We offers at least one free or low cost activity option every evening. Please refer to the sample calendar for sample activities.

  • Students who do not wish to participate in Saturday optional activities can enjoy hanging out with other students and staff on and around campus

Sunday Excursions

  • Required that all students participate in the full-day Sunday excursion
  • Full-day Sunday excursions are included in the junior package
